Framework Contract Beneficiaries 2009 - Lot 6: Environment

AESA is actively preparing the next round of Framework contract beneficiaries due to start in September 2009.

The objective of Framework contracts is to provide short-term operational services (carry out studies, provide technical assistance advice and support) on the spot in all technical sectors covered by external aid for the benefit of third countries receiving external aid as well as European Commission services.

For this purpose AESA is seeking for consultants available for short-term assignments worldwide in the field of Environment (lot 6)

Technical description:

• Sustainable management and protection of natural resources and Ecosystems (forests, fight against desertification, lakes etc.)
• Climate change
• Nature protection and Bio-diversity
• Marine environment and management of coastal areas
• Urban environment
• Waste management (incl. public/private management structures aspects)
• Industrial pollution control
• Water management inclusive planning (e.g. integrated river basin management), supply, waste water treatment
• Air pollution
• Natura 2000 network
• Chemicals (standards, transportation, packaging).
• Environmental risks/disaster management
