WE ARE HIRING!
AESA is looking for a PROJECT MANAGER/EVENT MANAGER to be involved in the management of the on-going BTSF projects (Better training for safer food http://ec.europa.eu/chafea/food/about.html) and in the business development activities (acquisition of new BTSF and similar projects).
Required qualifications and skills:

A background in agriculture studies, animal health/veterinary, food safety or related fields;

Fluency in English;
-
Knowledge of French would be an asset;

Good communication and drafting/editing skills;

Computer literacy
-
Experience in the management of trainings
-
Previous experience on BTSF (or similar) projects would be considered as an important requirement
-
At least two years of professional experience in the agricultural or veterinary or food safety or similar sectors
-
Very good organisational skills
-
Available to work after normal working hours and on weekends when necessary
Job Description

Preparation of training
-
Identification and selection of participants
-
Distribution of technical and logistic information (including visibility material) to National Contact Points and participants
-
Management of Virtual Classroom events (until the end of Covid 19 emergency)
-
Organisation of accommodation (hotel), catering (meals and coffee breaks), social event and training venue (in town where no previous events have been organized a pre-training visit is necessary)

Coordination of participants’ travel to the training premises.

Organization of participants pick-up
-
Regular check of budget available against training costs
-
Contracts with service providers (hotel etc), experts and when necessary hosting technical organisation
-
On site organization and coordination of study visits
-
Training programme preparation or confirmation
-
Identification of training coordination (training coordinator) and other trainers
-
Approval from CHAFEA of training program and training presentations and modifications if required
Logistics:
-
Distribution of technical and logistic information (including visibility material) to National Contact Points, participants and to DG SANCO observers

Technical coordination:

Identification of training coordinator and other trainers

Coordination of the Tutors team for the preparation of presentations, submission to CHAFEA and validation by client/ amendments according to comments.

Communication point with CHAFEA for technical contents (programme, tutors’ team and presentations)

Identification and organization of study visits in relation to the programme’s implementation

Identification and selection of participants

Contracts with experts and when necessary hosting technical organisation

During the training (on site for 4-6 days):

Check of participant arrival (flight schedule, pick up etc.)

Arrange EC visibility

Preparation of conference room and Distribution of training material

Welcome drink, coffee breaks, lunches and dinners

Control of hotel, catering etc.

Control of technical equipment
-
Presence to the training (control of quality of presentations, capacity of communications by the trainers, serious games etc.)

Presence to the social event and study visit

Quality control

Coordination with training coordinator

Collection of presence sheet (every day)

Collection of evaluation sheets

Communication with participants and gathering of impressions about the training and other services

Organization of transportation to field visits

Communication with local competent authorities.

After training

Analysis of evaluation sheets

Collection of tutors’ reports

Administrative internal reports (invoices, budget check etc)

Reporting when foreseen by contract with CHAFEA

Pedagogical review (identification of expert to carry it out and review of the report)
