Description of the project and Services provided:

  • Restructuring MAFWE (Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Water Economy) Wine and Vine division; development of MAFWE institutional capacity in management of the wine sector
  • Establishment of an administrative database and monitoring system of vineyards and vine products.
  • Procurement of equipment (software and hardware)
  • Photo interpretation of the wine-growing areas to ensure the full traceability in pilot regions
  • Development of the legal framework to ensure the operation of a vineyard register
  • Development of an industry and marketing strategy for domestic and exportable wine
  • Training of personnel in relevant activities (management of vineyard cadastre, wine sector co-ordination etc...)
