Support to the municipality of Chinguetti

Description of the project and Services provided:

The activities carried out by the Technical Assistance provided by the company werein the different sectors concern:

1) Support at the municipality. Support at the training and organisation of common services;

2) Fight to desertification. The programme will contribute to achieve, initially, new technical solutions, and eventually the organisation, the technical supervision and the monitoring of works; the desertification interventions will concern both the oasis and the old cities.

3) Water resources. New interventions are foreseen; anyway, the technical support will be joint by training and social activities;

4) Roads maintenance. Two roadworks will be executed to the rehabilitation of D'Amojar way through and the repairs of adjacent roads to the route Nouatil-Chinguetti.

5) Restoration and conservation of ancient manuscripts.
