Description of the project and Services provided:
The objective of the project was to put in place technical assistance to help implement the National Food Security Strategy (SNSA) in Mali.
The services provided were:
- convergence of the SNSA with the CSCRP (Strategic Framework for Growth and Poverty Reduction) and with other national strategies
- convergence of the SNSA with sectoral action plans (LOA (Framework Law on Agriculture) and SDR (Rural Development Strategy))
- capitalisation of previous diagnostics and recommendations by stakeholders
- putting together in the medium term a single food security arrangement, integrating new cooperative approaches and differentiating the separate components
- steering and managing the SNSA at central and decentralised levels of the arrangement
- coordinating and following up community actions
- Coordinating with regional initiatives (AGRHYMET/CILSS, etc.).
- close steering and management of FS information systems concerning the effectiveness of the arrangement as a support for decision-making and action
