The overall objective of the Project is to support the efforts of the Government of Egypt to create job opportunities and income generation in rural areas and develop the agricultural sector.
Scope of the Services and Tasks:

Support the development of, and provide Technical Assistance for, the improvement of the production process of selected species in the marine aquaculture sector;

Improve business and health practices for selected value chain actors as well as development an Egyptian standard for marine aquaculture;

Support the development of three Marine Aquaculture Development Areas (MADA) through pilot studies in specifically identified areas and in line with the national Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) strategy;

Improve environmental awareness and practices: Provision of support for the environmental management of selected fry collection centre and provision of support for promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices;

Improve business practices for the Marine Aquaculture value chain.
