The global objective of the project is to build the capacity of Mauritian agro-businesses to improve their quality and food safety systems.
The specific objectives are
- Increased awareness among food producers to be certified on importance of food safety and quality standards systems, in particular Global Gap and HACCP.
- Ensure sustainability of the traceability system and inculcate the practice of proper records keeping by demonstrating to farmers the importance of adopting Global gap and HACCP for agro-processed foods that will guarantee the success of the certification process.
