In South Senegal the potential of agricultural production is very important. The area is the second largest pastoral pole of the country and for this reason its milk production potential is high.
Therefore the management of the coexistence of agriculture and animal production is an important point for the economic development of the area. The Senegalese nutritional situation is also worrying because of the last natural and economic crisis.
Therefore the project Beydaare is going to support the supply chains of milk, banana, rice and other cereals and focuses on three vulnerable regions: Tambacunda, Kendougou and Kolda.
The general purpose of this assignment is to furnish the information needed to formulate the project Beydaare. There are also two specific purposes:
1) Offer additional feasibility studies;
2) Gather in the same report also the conclusions of the previous ex-ante evaluation.
